Men's tennis to compete in ITA Regionals

Men's Tennis travels to Tulsa, Okla. October 20-24 to compete in the Wilson/ITA Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's Central Region Championships. This will be the last tournament for the team until the spring season begins in late January.
The tournament is hosted by the University of Tulsa and matches will be played at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the TU campus.
Leading the Salukis will be Bojan Ilievski who is coming off a semifinal finish at the Kentucky Invitational. Andrei Bubnov and Tomas Gonzalez are both 6-3 heading into this weekend. Also qualifying for the tournament are Rodrigo Lama, Sergio Sanchez and Feilpe Villasenor, all of who missed last tournament due to illness or injury.
The event will feature the top players from 16 Division I central regions schools, including Arkansas-Little Rock, Arkansas, Creighton, Drake, Illinois State, Missouri State, UMKC, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Oral Roberts, Saint Louis, South Dakota State, Tulsa and Wichita State.
"This is the biggest tournament of the fall season," said Coach Dann Nelson. "Hopefully we will have a good weekend. The team is really excited and ready to play."
The singles finalists and doubles champion from this tournament will earn spots in the November 3-6 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships hosted by The Ohio State University.
