Football faces must-win situation against North Dakota State

The #11-ranked Saluki football team (7-3) hosts #20-ranked North Dakota State Saturday in a game that will determine SIU's playoff fate.
With a win, Southern Illinois is virtually assured one of eight at-large bids to the I-AA Playoff. No team has ever made the 16-team field with four losses, however.

North Dakota State (7-3) is not eligible for post-season because the Bison are not yet full-fledged members of I-AA. However, their football program has a proud tradition, having dominated the Division II ranks the last few decades.
