Men's Tennis Blanked by Middle Tennessee State and Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY. - The Salukis began their weekend as they were handed a 7-0 loss by the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State on Saturday and then were defeated by the Lousville Cardinals on Sunday.
The Salukis battled hard in the No. 1-6 singles spots but were not able to mount a win in any of the positions against MTS. Senior Alexandru Nomicos was edged out by Andreas Siljestrom 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot while sophomore Rodrigo Lama dropped a tough match 6-4, 6-3 to Kai Schledorn.
SIU did not have much time off before their next match as the Dawgs had to travel to Louisville to take on the No. 26 ranked Cardinals. The Salukis were not able to mount a win on the day as they dropped the doubles point and then were defated in all six singles spots.
The Salukis are back in action March 5, when they take on the University of Illinois, Chicago.
