Men's Tennis Defeats Murray State 6-1

PADUCAH, KY. - The Salukis mounted an impressive 6-1 win over the Murray State Racers yesterday in Pudach and head into the second half of the season with a 6-6 record.
The Salukis started off the day capturing the doubles point, with Sergio Sanchez and Julian Angel Botero knocking off Clayton Clark and Jeff Lester (8-4) at the No. 2 doubles spot, while Tomas Gonzalez and Rodrigo Lama defeated Craig Jacobs and Yuri Pompeu at the No. 3 doubles spot.
The Salukis continued to play well as they picked up wins the No.2 through No. 6 singles spots. Lama defeated Chris Morgan (6-3, 6-4) at the No. 2 spot while Sanchez was able to pick up an easy win at the No. 3 spot with a victory over Yuri Pompeu.
The Salukis have the weekend off and will be back in action on April 9 as they continue play in the MVC, when they take on the Bears of Southwest Missouri State.
