Men's Tennis Prepares for Last Home Stand

CARBONDALE, IL. - The Salukis (6-8, 0-3 MVC) will play their last two home matches of the year as they welcome the Drake Bulldogs (8-4, 3-0 MVC) on Saturday and the Creighton Bluejays (5-7, 0-3 MVC) on Sunday to the SIU Arena Tennis Courts as SIU looks to pick up their first MVC win of the season.
Saturday's match up with Drake will be a challenge for the Dawgs, as Drake comes into the weekend undefeated in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Bulldogs are led by two younger players, as sophomore Sergie Vila holds down the No. 1 singles spot while freshmen Dalibor Pavic will play at the No. 2 spot.
SIU will not have much time to rest, as they will take on the Creighton Bluejays on Sunday. With both teams looking for their first MVC win of the season, the Salukis are prepared for a very close match. Creighton is led by Tom McCarthy at the No. 1 spot and will look to Vinny Meens to compete at the No. 2 spot.
