NORMAL, IL. - The Salukis finished their regular season with a tough loss, as they were shut out by Illinois State 7-0 at the McCormick Tennis Courts today.
SIU got off to a rough start as ISU took all three doubles matches giving the Redbirds an early 1-0 lead. Illinois State never looked back as they defeated SIU in all six singles matches.
The Salukis finish the season with an 8-10 overall record and a 2-5 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play.
Southern will begin post season play on April 29 as they will play in the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, which are being held at Creighton this year.
