OMAHA, NEB. - The Salukis finish out their season with a disappointing 4-0 loss to the No. 2 seeded Wichita State Shockers in the opening day of the Missouri Valley Conference Championships.
SIU was not able to get anything going after dropping two of three doubles matches giving the Shockers a early 1-0 lead. WSU did not let up as they sealed the match picking up three wins in singles play.
Southern finishes the season with an 8-11 record and a seventh place finish in the MVC.
