CARBONDALE, Ill. - The success of Southern Illinois University's softball program has reached a national level the last four years, and a small part of the team's success is due to the Saluki Softball Fundraising Dinner, held every year to raise money for the softball program.
2007 Softball Fundraiser Order Form
The fundraiser allows the team to travel to prestigious tournaments around the country, such as the NFCA Leadoff Classic, Florida State Invitational and the Crowne Plaza Classic; in addition to other team needs.
The 2007 version of the dinner, which is being held for the seventh year, will be held on Friday, February 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Copper Dragon in Carbondale, Ill.
This marks the first year that the event will be held at Copper Dragon.
The dinner costs $15.00 per person and all proceeds will directly benefit the Saluki softball program.
The Saluki Softball Fundraising Dinner will be catered by 17th Street Bar & Grill, and includes BBQ chicken, BBQ pork, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, rolls and dessert.
Prizes will also be raffled off throughout the night.
