Men's Tennis suffers loss at Marquette

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Southern Illinois men's tennis team lost to Marquette 5-2 Saturday at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium in Milwaukee. The loss drops the Salukis to 1-4.
Sergio Sanchez and Feilpe Villasenor were the only Salukis to pull off victories on the day. The duo, came away with a close 8-6 win in the No. 1 doubles spot to begin the day.
In singles action Villasenor edged out Ian Kawas at the No. 2 spot in three sets 6-4, 6-7(7), 6-3. Sanchez also had a win in the No. 3 position.
"We are playing better everyday and the results are going to start showing," said senior Tomas Gonzalez.
The Salukis will be back in action March 10 at Eastern Illinois.
