Villasenor named MVC Tennis Player of the Week

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Sophomore Feilpe Villasenor was named Missouri Valley Conference male tennis Player-of-the-Week Tuesday, as announced by the league office.
Villasenor posted a 2-0 record this weekend against Eastern Illinois. Villasenor defeated Chuck Levaque 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 at the No. 1 singles spot. Then in doubles play with Sergio Sanchez topped Brandon Lenfert and Levaque 8-3.
Villasenor has an overall singles record of 5-1, his doubles record is also 5-1 on the season.
This is the first time this season and in his career that Villasenor has been honored by the MVC.
