Acklin named MVC Track Athlete of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Southern Illinois sprinter Anthony Acklin was named the Missouri Valley Conference Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

Acklin picked up a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at the Ole Miss Invitational last weekend. The senior finished in 13.84, currently the sixth fastest time in the nation this season and tops on the Valley Best List.

This is the first outdoor MVC honor of the season for Acklin.
