Saturday's softball doubleheader with Bradley cancelled

PEORIA, Ill. - Even though the teams tried to get an early start before the weather hit, just five minutes before the 11:30 a.m. start in Saturday's doubleheader between the #25 Southern Illinois University softball team and Bradley, the tarp came back on the field.

After game administrators re-evaluated the weather and field conditions at 1:30 p.m., Saturday's games were officially called off for the day.

A decision was also made to alter the schedule for Sunday. So as to allow as much time as possible to get games in, a doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at Laura Bradley Park in Peoria, Ill.
