Lockwood named Gateway Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University junior guard Aaron Lockwood is this week's Gateway Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week.

A native of Topeka, Kan., Lockwood graded out at 100 percent with four bonus blocks in an outstanding effort against then-No. 19 Western Illinois on Nov. 3.

Lockwood has been a fixture of a Saluki offense which has ranked first or second in the nation in scoring for seven-straight weeks.

Lockwood, along with DE James Cloud, earned two of the four weekly honors. It was the first time SIU had a defensive player and offensive lineman of the week since CB Brandon Bruner and C Will Justice won the awards on Nov. 11, 2006.
