Gwinup named MVC Men's Golfer of the Week

ST. LOUIS - Southern Illinois University men's golfer Andrew Gwinup was named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

The senior from Glen Carbon, Ill. native earned the award for the first time in his career a after earning finishing seventh at the Grover Page Classic at Jackson Country Club in Jackson, Tenn.

Gwinup finished in front of 79 competitors with a four over-par 220. He carded all three rounds in the 70s, with his scores of 72-70-78 over the two-day tournament.
