CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Saluki softball team will hold their 10th annual fundraising dinner on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at Copper Dragon at 6:30 p.m.
The fundraiser allows the program to travel to top-level tournaments such as the Cathedral City Kick off in Palm Springs, Calif. and the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga.
This is the third straight year the event will be held at Copper Dragon located on Grand Ave. in Carbondale.
The dinner, which will be catered by 17th Street Bar & Grill, costs $20 per person, and all proceeds will directly benefit the Saluki softball program.
There will also be a silent auction, and prizes will be raffled off throughout the night.

Southern Illinois will open the 2009 season against Long Beach at the Cathedral City Kick off in Palm Springs, Calif. on Friday, Feb. 6, and face Southeast Missouri to open the home schedule on Wednesday, March 4.
