No. 3 Southern Illinois welcomes in Youngstown State on Family Weekend in the second to last game at McAndrew Stadium, Saturday at 3 p.m. ... SIU is looking for its sixth victory over the Penguins in the last seven games... Tickets are still readily available through the SIU ticket office, Ticketmaster and can be purchased over the phone by calling 1-877-Salukis or 618-453-2000... Fans can listen to all the SIU football action with "Voice of the Salukis" Mike Reis, color analyst Gene Green and sideline reporter Joel Sambursky on the Saluki Sports Network beginning at 2 p.m. on WVZA-FM 105.1 in Carbondale... Following SIU's monumental victory over then second-ranked Northern Iowa in the UNI-Dome a week ago, the Salukis have jumped up to No. 3 in both polls, which is its highest ranking since finishing there at the end of the 2007 season. The Dawgs received one first-place vote in the Sports Network Poll released Monday... The Salukis have a candidate for both the Walter Payton and the Buck Buchanan Awards, and are one of seven schools in the country with candidates for both awards. Running back Deji Karim is SIU's Payton Award Candidate and Brandin Jordan is on the Buchanan Award list... Southern Illinois has won 10-straight Missouri Valley Football Conference games, and with a win Saturday, its streak will tie for the second longest in league history... The Salukis are also riding a 15-game league home winning streak into Saturday's game versus the Penguins... Senior cornerback Brandon Williams was named the MVFC Defensive Player of the Week on Sunday, the day after he scored the winning points on an interception return for a touchdown against Northern Iowa...
