Murray, Ky. - The final round of 18-holes at the Murray State Invitational was rained out Tuesday morning.
Competition began at 8:30 a.m. but was forced to cease at 10:30 a.m. when the weather conditions rendered the course unplayable.
The 36-hole scores that were recorded on Monday will stand as the final results of the tournament.
Southern Illinois placed ninth out of 14 teams with a 294-298=592.
Patrick Scheil notched his first top-10 finish of the season, also in the ninth spot with a 143.
The Salukis will return to action Sunday, Oct. 11, when they travel to Normal, Ill. to compete in the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate hosted by Illinois State.
