Men's golf tournament cancelled

CARBONDALE, Ill. -The Saluki men's golf team's spring-opening tournament was cancelled on Sunday after the Jackson Country Club received nearly eight inches of snow.
The Grover Page Classic tournament committee and Jackson Country Club staff reached a decision to cancel the tournament after they ruled the course would not be ready in time for Monday's 8:30 a.m. start.
The Salukis will wait to open the spring season next week on Monday and Tuesday, March 9-10 at the Samford Intercollegiate in Birmingham, Ala.
