Track and Field wraps up competition at NCAA National Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Four Southern Illinois track and field athletes wrapped up competition at the 2009 NCAA National Championships Thursday on the University of Arkansas campus.
Two-time All-American Bianca Stuart brought home the top finish for the Salukis. The senior finished 14th in the women's long jump with a leap of 19-03.25 (5.87m) in her final trip to nationals.
Junior Jeff Schirmer finished 21st in the 10,000-meter run in his first trip to the national outdoor meet in 29:52.17.
On Wednesday, Sasha Leeth and Gwen Berry finished top-20 in the country in the women's hammer throw. Leeth threw 185-09 (56.63m) for 16th, and Berry finished with a toss of 183-07 (55.96m) for 17th.
