Deadline extended for women's basketball `Big Dawg' Camp

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois women's basketball program is still accepting campers for Sessions IV of `Big Dawg' Camp set to take place Aug. 3-5. Girls grades kindergarten-eighth grade will be invited to the afternoon session IV.
Walk-ups are also welcome the day of camp at the SIU Recreation center for session IV. Registration will begin at 12:15 p.m., with camp beginning promptly at 1 p.m.
The camp will focus on all aspects of the game emphasizing offensive and defensive fundamentals essential for young players transitioning to an advanced level of play. During each session campers will participate in fundamental drills, contests and games.
Cost for each camper will be $75, that includes a t-shirt. Campers will participate in games and contests daily and prizes will be awarded.
