After snapping a three-game losing streak with a win at No. 19 Illinois State last weekend, No. 21 Southern Illinois looks to win consecutive games for the first time this year as the Salukis host No. 15 Northern Iowa on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Saluki Stadium...Saturday's game is Homecoming for SIU, and Saluki Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Hart is serving as Grand Marshall...The game is being televised on tape delay (Sunday at 2 p.m.) on Fox Sports Midwest with Scott Warmann (play-by-play), Danan Hughes (analyst) and Mick Shaffer (sideline) calling the game...Fans can also listen to the game on the Saluki Sports Network beginning at 1 p.m. on WVZA 105.1-FM in Carbondale. "Voice of the Salukis" Mike Reis, Gene Green (analyst) and Joel Sambursky (sideline) are calling the action...SIU is ranked No. 21 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 23 in The Sports Network/Fathead.com poll, giving Soutern its 97th consecutive week being ranked in the Top 25. That breaks the all-time league record, which was set by Northern Iowa form 1990-97...The Salukis have won six-straight over the Panthers at home, and are 10-4 all-time vs. UNI in Carbondale...SIU ran for a season-high 342 yards in last weeks 38-17 win, and Shariff Harris' 37 carries for 163 yards with two touchdowns led to him being named the MVFC Newcomer of the Week...Redshirt freshman Luke Thuston was named the MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week after blocking a punt in the second consecutive game and he returned the one last week at Illinois State for a touchdown.
Saluki Headlines
SIU averages 186.4 yards rushing per game and is going up against the Panther defense that ranks second nationally by allowing just 77.8 yards on the ground.
The Salukis set a new MVFC record with their 97th-straight week being ranked in the Top 25.
SIU is 15-0 under Lennon when a running back rushes for over 100 yards.

Note
Southern Illinois, then ranked No. 13, beat No. 5 UNI, 27-24, on a last second Kyle Dougherty field goal in 2008. That was the last time the two teams met in Carbondale.
