Football to host Military Appreciation Day, Nov. 13

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki Athletics invites all men and women of the Armed Forces and their families to take part in the third-annual Saluki Football Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, Nov. 13, as Southern Illinois hosts Western Illinois at 1 p.m. in Saluki Stadium.
SIU is offering discounted tickets of $10 for the game to all military personnel, veterans and their families.
In order to receive this discount, please click here to download the order form. It must be completed and returned to Saluki Group Sales before Wednesday, Nov. 10.
You can also go to the online ticketing Web site and enter the special offer code "MAD" to receive this discount.
SIU is honoring the courageous men and women who serve, and who have served, in the United States Armed Forces at the game. Activities for the day include a 3-Gun Volley, a C-130 flyover, giant flag presentation, recognition of Purple Heart recipients and a salute to the Armed Forces.
Military personnel and veterans are encouraged to wear their uniforms or anything identifying them as a military member for the game.
