• The Southern Illinois baseball team travels to Murray State for a single, midweek game on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The game is the first of two meetings between the two schools this year. The second game is scheduled for April 21 in Carbondale.

• Last year the two teams played one game on April 1 in Paducah, Ky. The game was tied at one heading into extra innings and the Dawgs erupted with eight, two-out runs to win the game in the 10th. The two schools have met at least once every year since 1997. SIU has won 17 of the 21 meetings in the last 13 years.
