Football announces summer camp dates

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University football team announced Wednesday the dates for its 2010 summer football camps.
The Salukis, winners of back-to-back Missouri Valley Football Conference Championships, are holding seven camps beginning in April 2010 and running through the summer.
The Youth Camp is set for April 13 and is for kids in Grades 2-5. SIU coaches and players will be out at McAndrew Stadium to help develop camper's football skills in the session that runs from 6:30-9 p.m. Campers will work on their passing, catching, tackling and blocking skills and will have the opportunity to participate in various games and competitions. No equipment is needed for the Youth Camp.
Two days later on April 15, SIU is holding the Junior High Camp intended for kids in Grades 6-8. The Junior High Camp will run from 6:30-9 p.m. and is also focused on developing football skills.
Campers for the Youth and Junior High Camps are asked to register by April 7 to guarantee them a camp t-shirt.
Southern Illinois' five other remaining camps are listed below. To register for the Saluki football camps, please click on the following link to choose the desired camp registration form. All camps with the exception of the Satellite Came at Brother Rice High School will be held at McAndrew Stadium and/or the SIU practice fields.
