Men's Golf finishes 10th at Samford Intercollegiate

ONEONTA, Ala. - Southern Illinois finished in 10th place overall at the Samford Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
SIU finished with a 54-hole score of 906 (+42).
The tournament, hosted by Samford University, was played at the 7,000-yard, par-72 Limestone Springs Golf Club.
Patrick Scheil led the Salukis, fueled by a second round score of 67 to finish in a tie for eighth place. Scheil ended at two over par (78-67-73=218).
Blake Driskell carded all three rounds in the 70s, finishing inside the top-20, tied for 15th at five over par.
Jordan Cox shot the last two rounds at 76 to bring his total to 232 (+16).
Sophomore Ryan Hudson totaled 236 (77-82-77) for his first spring tournament as a Saluki.
Rounding out the scorecard for Southern was Jeffrey Miller at 243.
After a three-hole playoff, Vanderbilt and Samford tied for first among the tournament's 15-team field, with a score of 877.
The Salukis will return to the course March 22-23 when they travel to Williamsburg, Va. for the C&F Bank Intercollegiate.
