2010 Saluki Baseball Camp set for June 7-10

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois baseball team is hosting its 38th annual Saluki Baseball Camp, June 7-10, at Abe Martin Field.
The camp is open to all young players between the ages of 7-13 and it will be separated by ability and/or age groups for more individual instruction. Campers will be receiving coaching on the basic fundamentals of hitting, bunting, base running, infield and outfield play, pitching as well as specific position work and supervised game activity.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday and Monday's check-in will take place at Abe Martin Field from 7:30-9 a.m. This will be a commuter camp only, with lunch provided for all campers each day.
If registered by May 28, 2010, the individual registration fee is $175, but teams that send a minimum of six players will receive a $20 discount for the cost of $155 per camper. A $50 despoit is required to hold registration. Late registration (after May 28) will be $185 per individual or $165 for team groups of six or more.
The 2010 Saluki Baseball Camp includes one of the finest staffs assembled in the Midwest. The instruction is led by the Saluki Baseball coaching staff of Dan Callahan, Ken Henderson and Tim Dixon. In addition the staff will feature Saluki players and high school and college coaches.
