Lindsey, McElroy, Pickard named Top 10 by TSN

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Seniors Korey Lindsey and Mike McElroy along with junior David Pickard were tabbed as one of the 10-best players at their respective positions by The Sports Network.
Pickard, an offensive tackle, was selected as one of the 10-best offensive lineman in the Football Championship Subdivision. Story Link
McElroy, a free safety, and Lindsey, a cornerback, were selected as two of the Top 10 defensive backs in the nation. Story Link
Lindsey is becoming one of the most decorated players in SIU history. He was a third team All-America selection by The Sports Network as a sophomore and last year he was named to four different All-America teams, including first team selections by the AFCA and Associated Press.
The Baton Rouge, La. native is a two-time first team All-MVFC selection and he enters his senior campaign with 13 career interceptions, which ranks No. 3 in school history.
McElroy, a two-year starter, was a first team All-MVFC selection in 2009 after leading the league in interceptions. His seven interceptions last year tied for the fourth-most in the nation and tied for the third-most in a year in school history. McElroy finished second on the team with 78 tackles, was third with 7.0 tackles for a loss and added four pass breakups.
Pickard was a third team All-America selection by The Sports Network as a sophomore. He helped SIU finish fifth in the nation in rushing (221.1 yards per game) and seventh in scoring (34.0 points per game). Pickard was a first team All-MVFC selection and was named the teams most valuable offensive lineman.
