Men's golf to compete at Samford University Invitational

The Saluki men's golf team looks to continue their spring season when they compete in the Samford University Invitational this Monday and Tuesday, March 7-8.
The 54-hole tournament is held at the 7,000-yard, par-72 Limestone Springs Golf Club in Oneonta, Ala.
In addition to SIU and host Samford University, the field will also include Alabama, Belmont, Birmingham-Southern, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, Evansville, Houston Baptist, Illinois State, Loyola University-Chicago, McNeese State, Murray State, Nicholls State, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee-Martin, Western Kentucky and Winthrop.
"We are really looking forward to participating in the tournament and look forward to getting on the course and competing against some great teams," said SIU head coach Leroy Newton.
The Salukis started the spring season placing fifth of 17 at the AT&T Frito Lay Intercollegiate on Feb. 20-21.
