Danielle Glosson named MVC Pitcher of the Week

ST. LOUIS - Danielle Glosson has been named this week's Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Glosson shined for the Salukis in action last week as she went 3-0 against oppoents EIU on April 6 and in MVC play against Bradley on Saturday. She allowed just three runs on the week, as she held a 1.26 ERA in 16.2 innings pitched. The senior ace struck out 19 and held opponents to a .186 batting average as she improved to 14-8 overall on the season and 4-2 in conference play. She threw two shutouts on the week improving her season total to eight, as she blanked EIU and against Bradley in game one on Saturday, and is currently tied for 18th place in the country in shutouts.
On the season, Glosson currently holds a 2.06 ERA and a 14-8 record in 149.2 innings pitched with 126 innings pitched while holding opponents to a .201 batting average.
This is the first pitcher of the week award this season for Glosson, who is reigning MVC Pitcher of the Year.
