Football to host coaching clinic, April 9

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois football program is hosting a coaching clinic on Saturday, April 9 at Saluki Stadium and the Donald Boydston Center.
The cost is $20 per coach or $50 per coaching staff. Registration includes All-Conference materials, lunch and refreshments. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday on the concourse at Saluki Stadium.
Clinic speakers include Pittsburgh Steelers running backs coach Kirby Wilson, Montreal Alouettes defensive coordinator Tim Tibesay, Sacred Heart Griffin head coach Ken Leonard, Warren Central (Ind.) head coach John Hart and the Saluki coaching staff.
Wilson was an assistant coach at Southern Illinois from 1991-92 and he has 19 years of coaching experience at both the collegiate and professional levels.

Clinic Itinerary:
9 a.m. - Registration (for those attending practice)
9:30 a.m. - Saluki football spring practice #8 (scrimmage)
11 a.m. - Registration (for those not attending practice)
11:15 a.m. - Lunch
12:15 p.m. - Welcome by Saluki head coach Dale Lennon and Roger Lipe, FCA
12:30 p.m. - Kirby Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers - "Steelers Run Game"
1:30 p.m. - Tim Tibesar, Montreal Alouettes - "Getting the Most Out of your Blitz Package"
2:30 p.m. - Ken Leonard, Sacred Heart Griffin - "Gun Run with Power"
3:30 p.m. - John Hart, Warren Central - {Program Development In-Season and Out-of-Season
