CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois football team completed its 11th practice of fall camp on Tuesday morning and are close to having installed all of their offensive and defensive packages.
The Salukis came out of last Saturday's scrimmage with roughly 70 percent of their offense and defense installed, but worked Sunday and Tuesday on getting the rest in. SIU had Monday off.
At Tuesday's practice, Southern Illinois worked on its red zone and short yardage packages. Last Sunday, the Salukis started working on their two-minute offense and the Dawgs refined it a little more on Tuesday.
The team is approaching the point in camp where they are starting to set the depth chart. The coaches will continue to evaluate positions and players leading up to the second scrimmage this coming Saturday.
