Swimming and diving sweeps dual meet with Washington (Mo.)

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The men's and women's swimming and diving teams won every event on their way to wins over Washington (Mo.) on Saturday afternoon. The win was a third in a row for the women's team and the first of 2012 for the men.
"I'm proud of all of our athletes because they're all stepping up," head coach Rick Walker said. "They're all fighting through the fatigue of training, the start of school and the little bit of sickness that's typical for this time of year. We probably didn't post our fastest times, but they were good enough to win."
The Salukis will be back in action next Saturday against Western Kentucky. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m. at Dr. Edward J. Shea Natatorium. Admission will be free.
