SIU junior linebacker Bryan Presume has been named the FCS Linebacker Performer of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) for his week 7 performance against Northern Iowa. Presume recovered a fumble and returned it a school-record 100 yards for a touchdown in the game. In addition, he recorded four tackles, one of which was a sack.
Saluki junior quarterback Kory Faulkner also received an honorable mention from the CFPA this week. Faulkner completed 80 percent of his passes and had a 49-yard touchdown run in the first quarter of the UNI game. He set a new career high with 73 rushing yards in the game and also threw a touchdown pass to MyCole Pruitt.
Presume is the second Saluki to earn CFPA Performer of the Week honors this season. Eze Obiora was named Defensive Lineman Performer of the Week for his week 1 performance against Eastern Illinois. That same week, Presume earned an honorable mention from the CFPA.
