TOWSON, Md.--Southern Illinois University volleyball player Bailey Yeager has been named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America Division I volleyball team.
Yeager was selected to the third-team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida). Yeager is just one of 18 volleyball players in the country to receive All-American status.
A speech communication disorders major with a cumulative 3.92 GPA, Yeager played in all 30 matches for the Salukis this season. The defensive specialist had a banner senior season breaking the single season digs record at SIU recording a total of 630 digs. The Brownsburg, Ind. native also finished her career compiling 1,424 digs to rank third all-time in program history.
This honor for Yeager marks the first time a Saluki volleyball player has been selected to the Academic All-American team since 2002 when Britten Follett was named a first team selection.
