Softball closes fall at Illinois Collegiate Championship

CARBONDALE, Ill.— The Southern Illinois softball team will close out its fall season at the State Farm Illinois Collegiate Softball Championship Saturday and Sunday in Normal, Ill.

The tournament field contains Bradley, Eastern Illinois, DePaul, Illinois Central College, Illinois-Chicago, Illinois-Springfield, Lake Land College, Northern Illinois, SIU Edwardsville and Western Illinois along with the Salukis.

Southern begins the tournament at noon Saturday against Illinois Central College before facing Northern Illinois at 5 p.m. A bracket will be seeded for Sunday’s games following Saturday’s pool play.
