Football holding February tryout

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois football team will hold a tryout for SIU students interested in joining the program on Monday, Feb. 4. The team will hold a meeting for prospective players at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3 in the Saluki Football offices in the Boydston Center. The on-field workout will follow at Saluki Stadium at 2 p.m. on Feb. 4.
Three former walk-ons -- defensive end Ken Boatright, fullback Ray Agnew and long snapper Jason Stegman -- started for the Salukis in 2012.
