Student-Athletes participate in Thank-A-Thon

CARBONDALE, Ill.— Last week 35 Southern Illinois student-athletes personally thanked donors as part of the annual Saluki Thank-A-Thon.
SIU student-athletes spent several hours making more than 1,100 calls to donors to say "thank you" for their support.
"We are grateful for the support we receive to fund student-athlete scholarships," said Director of Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund, Gabe Tippy. "It is extremely important to thank those who continually contribute and what better way to do so than to have those who are truly affected by them."
The Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund helps support over 350 Southern Illinois University student-athletes on the playing field and in the classroom.
"It is our hope that our SASF members understand that they provide our student-athletes with opportunities that they may not otherwise receive," Tippy said.
