Saluki Athletics Announce Baseball and Softball Promotions

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University Athletics announced promotions for the 2014 softball and baseball seasons on Wednesday. Season-long promotions include kids 12-years-old and under getting in free and Saluki Sunday Funday with 50 percent off select concession items.
Additional promotions for baseball include t-shirts being tossed in the stands and the hill after the Salukis hit a home run. The team will sign autographs after select games this year. The team will host Family Fridays, where fans can bring their family and get four general admission tickets, four hot dogs, nachos or pretzels, and four drinks for just $25.
Additional promotions for softball include Strike Out Club t-shirts being tossed any time an SIU pitcher strikes out an opposing batter. Players will be available for autographs after select games this season, and the softball program will also host Family Fridays, with four tickets, four hotdogs, nachos or pretzels, and four drinks for just $25.
Both teams will also host $2 Tuesdays. Fans can get $2 tickets, $2 hot dogs and $2 fountain drinks. The softball program will host their $2 Tuesday on April 8 vs. SEMO, and the baseball program will host $2 Tuesdays on April 2 vs. Murray State, April 16 vs. Austin Peay and May 15 vs. Dallas Baptist.
Fans can register for the Saluki Dawg Card Club at either Itchy Jones or Charlotte West Stadium this year. With the purchase of five hot dogs, members of the Saluki Dawg Card Club will receive the sixth hot dog free. The same card can be used at both stadiums.
