2014 ABCA All-Midwest Region Teams

Southern Illinois senior Cody Daily has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-Midwest Region Second Team as a designated hitter, the ABCA announced Friday. Daily is the fifth Saluki to earn ABCA All-Region honors since 2003 and the first since first baseman Chris Serritella was named to the ABCA All-Midwest Region Second Team in 2012.

Daily led SIU with a .333 batting average, which ranked fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference this spring. He also finished in the top 10 in the conference in slugging percentage, on-base percentage, hits, doubles, home runs, total bases and walks. Daily was also a second-team All-MVC selection this season.

The Midwest Region includes 32 Division I baseball teams.
