DUE UP
Southern Illinois opens up a five game homestand, starting with a three-game series against Southland conference foe Central Arkansas.

THURSDAY'S STARTER
Aaron Hauge will be on the mound when the Salukis and Bears open the series on Thursday. The redshirt senior enters the week with a 2-3 record and an ERA of 2.18. Hauge has pitched a team-high 45.1 innings. So far this season, the LHP has 46 strikeouts. Hauge earned his first MVC Pitcher of the Week honor this season when he pitched eight scoreless innings against then No. 19 Illinois.

FRIDAY, SATURDAY STARTERS
Bryce Sablotny and Kyle Pruemer will be on the mound in the second and third games of the series. The pair had their best stats of the season against Bradley, with Sablotny giving up one run in six innings and Pruemer giving up three runs in six innings.

SCOUTING THE SALUKIS
SIU enters the series with a 5-22 record. The Salukis are coming off of a 9-8 walk-loss at Murray State. Offensively, the Salukis are hitting .239. Freshman Greg Lambert leads all SIU hitters with a .299 batting average. Fellow freshman Chase Slone leads the team in hits with 30, while sophomore Jake Hand has a team-high 13 RBI. The pitching staff has lowered their ERA all season, with it currently sitting at 6.22. Aaron Hauge has been the ace of the staff, as he leads the Salukis in most pitching categories.

CENTRAL ARKANSAS SERIES NOTES
This will be the first meeting between the two schools.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
UCA enters the three-game series holding a 14-9 record. In their last outing, The Bears dropped a 7-0 decision to Oklahoma. The Bears are hitting .268 as a team. Matt Anderson leads UCA with a .386 average with 27 hits. Braxton Phillips leads the Bears with 19 RBI. The UCA pitching staff enters the week with an ERA of 3.62. Bo Stitch has a team-high four wins in 23.1 innings of work. Stitch also leads the team in saves with two.

FOR THE GREATER GOOD
Infielders Will Farmer and Chase Slone rank among the best in the MVC in laying down sacrifice bunts. The pair are tied fifth in the conference with four sacrifice bunts apiece.

Junior catcher Taylor Martin ranks near the top of the list in the MVC with 10 caught stealing. Opposing teams have only stolen 15 bases against Martin.
