ST. LOUIS, Mo. - SIU sophomore Brooke Cusumano has been selected as a Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week, Commissioner Doug Elgin announced today. Cusumano was honored for her performances during the period of April 13 - April 19.
Cusumano finished the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championships as the Salukis' top competitor, earning second place of the individual golfers - a seven spot jump from her ninth-place standing after Day One. Cusumano was recognized for her strong performance at the tournament and on the season, earning All-Conference recognition and being awarded the Elite 18 Award by the MVC.
