Final Luncheon Taping of Inside Saluki Women's Basketball Today

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- "Inside Saluki Women's Basketball", a weekly radio show with SIU head coach Cindy Stein, will host the fifth, and final, luncheon taping of the season today, March 1 in the Cook Club inside the SIU Arena.
The Salukis, winners of six-straight and eight of their last nine, will be playing for their first regular-season conference title since 2007 this weekend. Southern is in a three-way tie, along with Drake and Missouri State, for second place, as all three teams are a game behind Northern Iowa for first. SIU hosts the UNI Panthers Thursday night at 6 p.m., before concluding the regular-season Saturday against Drake. Saturday's game will also be Senior Day, with Southern honoring Blair Stephenson, Azia Washington, Cartaesha Macklin and Dyana Pierre after the game. Wins over both teams would clinch the Salukis at least a share of the regular-season crown.
Coach Stein will be joined by host Bryce Williams, in his fourth season as the voice of SIU women's basketball, to talk Saluki hoops. Sophomore Kylie Gielbelhausen will be the featured guest on today's program, as Saluki fans are encouraged to spend their lunch hour today to join the show with Coach Stein and her staff, with the doors to the Cook Club opening at 11:45 a.m. and taping of the show beginning at 12:10 p.m.
