SIU earns No. 4 seed for MVC Tournament

ST. LOUIS - The Southern Illinois softball team will be the No. 4 seed in the 2016 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, hosted by SIU at Charlotte West Stadium from May 12-14. SIU is scheduled to play at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, against the winner of that morning's 5/8-seed matchup between Missouri State and Bradley.
All seven games of the 2016 MVC Tournament will be broadcast on The Valley on ESPN3. All links to ESPN3 streams, live stats, final box scores, and recaps can be found at the MVC Tournament Central page HERE.
SIU wrapped up the No. 4 seed with yesterday's win at Wichita State after the Salukis were picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll. Southern wrapped up the regular season 32-18, 15-10 MVC and finished in the top half the conference for the 16th-straight year.
