Track & Field hosts send-off party for Olympic Hopefuls

CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Southern Illinois University track and field program hosted a send-off party Tuesday for Kyle Landon, DeAnna Price, Josh Freeman and throws coach J.C. Lambert as they prepare to travel to Eugene, Ore. for the U.S. Olympic Trials. The send-off took place in the Cook Club inside the SIU Arena.

The Trials begin on Friday, July 1, with Freeman throwing the shot put on day one. Price and Lambert will each throw the hammer five days later on Monday, July 6, while Landon will begin competition in the men's high jump on Wednesday, July 8.
