Isom named to CFPA National POY Watch List

Southern Illinois sophomore running back Daquan Isom was earned a spot on the 30-man FCS Performer of the Year Watch List, the College Football Performance Awards announced on Tuesday.

Isom was one of the top playmakers in the nation as a true freshmen in 2015. He earned second-team All-MVFC honors and a spot on the MVFC All-Newcomer team. He was a two-time MVFC Newcomer of the Week and ranked second nationally among freshmen in all-purpose yards per game. In 2015, he led all freshmen in the MVFC in scoring per game, rushing yards per game, all-purpose yards per game and receptions per game. He led the conference in return average and ranked second overall in all-purpose yards.

Isom was one of 30 players on the initial watch list and one of six players from the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
