The Saluki men's tennis team returns to its home court again for another full weekend of action. After winning all three of last weekend's matches, the team is ready and anxious to get back onto the courts. The Salukis face Eastern Illinois at 12:30 on Friday, Northern Illinois at 10 on Saturday, and Lindsey Wilson at 4:30 on Sunday.Â
Jonny Rigby, graduate assistant and coach, said the team played its best match on Feb. 17 in the win against Washington University.Â
"We ended last weekend on such a high note," Rigby said.Â
Two Salukis are ranked nationally. Piotr Baranski is No. 121 in singles. Baranski is also ranked No. 58 in doubles with partner Alex Pozo.Â
Pozo and Baranski are 3-1 in the spring season as doubles partners. Rigby said that the pairing gives the team flexibility when it comes to getting the doubles point.Â
Going into this weekend's match, five of the seven players came out of last weekend undefeated.
