Hanna Netisingha finishes in the top five
The Salukis finished third at the Cardinal Challenge to day for their eighth top-5 finish of the season.

Southern shot a team score of 309 in the final round and finished just two strokes behind second place Bradley. Lamar, the host school, won the tournament with a 25 stroke lead.

"We finished third with two top players injured. Â This finish proves we have the depth to compete no matter what the circumstances," Mihelich said. "When we are 100% healthy come April at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament we will have our revenge."

Junior Hanna Netisingha shot a 75 in the closing round and finished tied for fourth place with Bradley's Ally Scaccia. Senior Xianmei Jin also finished in the top-10. She shot an 80 and finished in tenth. Senior Brooke Cusumano finished in 11th place after shooting an 80 in the final round.

Lamar's Elodie Chaplet was the tournament champion. She shot a three-round score of 220 to win with a two stroke lead. The top-three finishers were all from Lamar. Wenny Chang was second and Olivia Le Roux was third.

The Salukis will be back on the course again on March 26 and 27 when the team hosts the Saluki Invitational at Hickory Ridge Golf Course in Carbondale.
