Southern Illinois faces two mid-week opponents for the only time all year. The Salukis host Arkansas State at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Itchy Jones Stadium before traveling to Eastern Illinois for a 3 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday. Tuesday's game vs. Arkansas State will be streamed through ESPN3. SIU will start freshmen lefties Henry Boeckmann (on Tuesday) and Brad Harrison (on Wednesday) in their first career starts.Â

- Southern Illinois hosts Arkansas State on Tuesday at 5 p.m. and travels to Eastern Illinois on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. game. This is the only time this year Southern has two mid-week games.Â
- SIU beat Arkansas State 4-2 earlier this season in Jonesboro, Ark. The Salukis lead the all-time series 48-24.Â
- Southern and Eastern will only meet once this year. SIU leads the all-time series, 58-28-1.Â
- SIU vs. Arkansas State will be streamed through ESPN3 and is the first self-produced SIU baseball game on ESPN3. Starting with that game, 22 of the final 32 Saluki Baseball games will be on ESPN3.Â
- Both mid-week starters will be making their first career starts. Henry Boeckmann has pitched 4.1 innings in four appearances this year. He will start Tuesday vs. Arkansas State. Brad Harrison has appeared in 11 games this year. Harrison is SIU's only two-way player and has one start at designated hitter, but this will be his first career start on the mound.Â
- Will Farmer is the toughest strikeout in the MVC. He has struck out just nine times in 96 official at-bats, an average of one strikeout per 10.7 ABs. Farmer has not struck out in his last 23 plate appearances.
- Ryan Netemeyer ranks fourth in the NCAA in saves with eight.Â
- Since March 1, Netemeyer has a 0.00 ERA in 10.1 innings. He has struck out 12 while allowing only four hits and zero runs.
- Leadoff hitter Connor Kopach has reached base in all 24 games this year.Â
- As a team, SIU ranks 12th nationally in stolen bases with 44. Individually, Kopach ranks 19th nationally with 12.
- Kopach (12), Ryan Smith (8) and Greg Lambert (7) give SIU three of the top four base stealers in the MVC.Â
