Saluki Athletics' Southern Illinois Appreciation Week starts on Monday

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki Athletics is once again hosting 'Southern Illinois Appreciation Week' by thanking its fans with special events on campus and throughout the community from Monday through Saturday. Coaches, student-athletes and administrators will visit local businesses to help serve patrons and give away prizes each day next week, including tickets to the Eli Young Band concert at SIU Arena.
"This event drew a tremendous response from our fans last year and we're even more excited about our plans for this year's Appreciation Week," said Director of Athletics Tommy Bell. "We plan to to personally greet and thank as many of you as possible, and we'll be giving away free gear and other prizes at all of our locations."
The Salukis will make appearances at Dunkin' Donuts, Buffalo Wild Wings, Culver's, Murdale True Value, the Carbondale Kroger and McAlister's Deli, beginning Monday.
The week includes free admission to Tuesday's baseball game against Belmont at 5 p.m. and finishes up with Saturday's concert at SIU Arena 7 p.m.
Schedule of Events
Monday: at Dunkin' Donuts, 7-8:30 a.m.
Tuesday: at Buffalo Wild Wings, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Saluki Baseball at 5 p.m. (free admission)
Wednesday: at Culver's in Marion, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Live remote on 107.3 FM
Thursday: at Kroger in Carbondale, 4-6 p.m.
Friday: at McAlister's Deli, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Live remote on 105.1 FM, Saluki Baseball at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday: at Murdale True Value, 9-10 a.m., Saluki Softball at noon, Saluki Baseball at 2 p.m.
