Registration continues for Saluki Women’s Basketball Camps

The Salukis will host three camps during the month of June.
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Registration is currently ongoing for the Saluki Women's Basketball Camps that will be held in June at the SIU Arena on the campus of Southern Illinois University.
There are three camps set for June, beginning with the Elite Camp on June 11. Southern's Fundamental Day Camp follows from June 12-15, while the Saluki Slam Team Camp, open to high school junior varsity and varsity level teams, is set for June 17-18.
All interested participants should be prepared to fill out a medical release form, found here. Camp brochures are also available to download here.

Elite Camp
Sunday June 11 | Girls grades 9-12 | 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Our Elite Camp will be geared towards the varsity high school player who has aspirations of playing college basketball. We will take the campers through typical college level drills with the goal of providing an understanding what it takes to be successful at both the high school and college level.
Fundamental Day Camp
June 12-15 | Girls grades 1-8 | 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Fundamental Day Camp is designed to give the campers a chance to improve fundamental skills in the following areas: ball handling, passing, shooting, moving without ball, and defense. Campers will benefit from learning in a competitive and positive atmosphere. Skills and drills will be will be taught by Saluki coaching staff and players.
Our camp goal is to help each camper improve her fundamental skills, basketball knowledge, and overall love for the game. Our camp is directed towards developing self-confidence, teamwork, and positive attitudes. Individual attention is given to all aspects of the game.
Saluki Slam Team Camp
Jun 17-18 | High School JV and Varsity Teams
Saluki Slam is a team camp for high school junior varsity and varsity level teams. Each team is guaranteed to play a minimum of six games with registered officials.
